Cal Ripken wanted to create an event to honor his father Cal Sr. and provide funding for his foundation that provides coaching and mentoring to inner city youth. Challenge EE needed to create an event concept that would engage corporate sponsors and produce an electrifying event. The goal was to net $300,000 on a first time event. Extraordinary Idea EE designed “Aspire”  an event for baseball legend Cal Ripken’s foundation. We partnered with TV, radio, and print media to create The Hardest Hitting CEO contest. This contest was the “extraordinary idea” that generated sponsorship sales. Results “Aspire” was a first time event and it netted more than $500,000 in revenue. Celebrity guests included Peyton Manning, Tim Russert, and Steve Case former President of Time Warner. The event is now an ongoing source of revenue and branding for the foundation Hospice Caring had been hosting a fundraising gala for over five years in the Washington DC area. Challenge The event had only generated $10,000 and 100 guests. The Executive Director was considering canceling the event as it was taking a lot of time and producing minimal results. EE designed an event for Hospice Caring Midnight in the Garden of Good Deeds. The theme, design and décor inspired the sponsors and guests to support this important non profit.
